With love from Orthomol
Working to help other people is something that is very close to the hearts of everybody at Orthomol, and it is why we support a number of partners in our project “With love from Orthomol”. These partners are active in the areas of healthy nutrition and exercise – particularly for kids.
Orthomol is in good shape. And so we want to give something back in areas where support is especially important.
ARCHE
One important partner for us is ARCHE, a Christian charity that supports children and young people with loving care, where they are given a warm meal and help with homework, and do sports after school. We support ARCHE throughout Germany by providing fresh fruit and vegetables for the kids every day. The important work done at the ARCHE sites has been experienced by us at first hand, for example by enjoying healthy barbecues together or simply participating in normal everyday life at ARCHE.
Bundesverband Kinderhospiz e.V.
We gained a new partner in 2019. The German Federal Children’s Hospice Association (Bundesverband Kinderhospiz) campaigns for families with children who suffer from a life-shortening illness. The association serves as a point of contact for policymakers, business and those who are affected. It also takes care of structural improvements in the children’s hospice and it set up the hotline “OSKAR” for sufferers. Staff answer questions 24 hours a day, and listen to any worries and concerns. We think this is really important.
Regional partners
More than anything else, however, we support projects at our home town of Langenfeld, in the Rhineland area of Germany. The Catholic Women’s Social Services Charity in Langenfeld (Sozialdienst katholischer Frauen Langenfeld e.V. – SkF) receives special support. One of the activities at this charity is Café Immi, where the Orthomol chefs are hard at work several times per year, cooking for fellow citizens who are sometimes unable to afford a warm meal. Through the SkF, we have also been able to help families in Langenfeld with specific concerns.
Orthomol events
“With love from Orthomol” begins with the youngest members of our team. For many years now, our trainees have worked together to organise a charity football tournament. The proceeds are used to fulfil special requests from our surrounding region. Some of these requests include helping seriously ill children who require special therapy or have a special wish.
